Trauma is something that can take away your peace and happiness. It can cause you to feel defeated. When trauma has death attached to it or even other things like abuse or neglect, it can cause PTSD. There are other things that it can cause such as:
- Depression.
- Panic.
- Stress.
- Anxiety.
These feelings can lead to stopping you from having normal functions and can lead to things such as nightmares or hopelessness.
Trauma and Brokenness
Trauma can make you feel that you are broken and that you aren’t normal. It can make you feel damaged and cause you to feel scared and worried. Even if you want to heal, there is often shame that is involved with this kind of trauma.
It is easier to hide and to not allow this trauma to come back up. But when you don’t want to be a victim, you have to decide to be vulnerable in life. You have to get past your story and not let your story end there.
Beauty is Not Perfection
People often believe that when they think of beauty, it means that they are perfect. Beauty isn’t flawless and it comes after trauma. It comes after experiences of disappointment, hurt, abuse, betrayal, shame, heartbreak and more. Once you no longer have the shame or the pain of the brokenness that you have felt, you can be healed, and you can find your joy.
Stop hiding your imperfections and the feelings that you have. You are not ugly because you have been hurt by trauma or pain. You are not disgusting or damaged goods. In your brokenness, you have to find peace. You have to see that through the pain and the hurt that you made it through, you are amazing and beautiful.
Brokenness is Not You
Even if you are broken, the brokenness that you have is not who you are. This is a change that you have experienced but it is also a learning point. It is a place that allows you to improve yourself and to become better. In these events, you have learned how to cope with the pain in life and how to make it through the ups and downs.
There will be times where you might be triggered to feel anxious but being beautiful isn’t about being perfect. It’s about learning to understand your life and how to get through the feelings of neglect and pain.
Once you can be who you are and you can stop judging yourself and your feelings, you can get it together and you can live a good life. Allow your wounds to help you remember that you have struggled through these things, but you made it. You cannot let these things crush you.
You Can Be Fixed
No matter what kind of damage you have faced, you can be fixed. You are worth more and you are not useless. You are not a broken pot or a broken bowl, but you are a broken person that is on the mend.
Brokenness is something that can be beautiful because it can help you to rebuild your life and to find your purpose beyond your scars. See your beauty, learn your lessons and know that you are precious.
Accept that you are human and that you have been broken. Accept that it can take a long time to recover from this but that you can connect with yourself and with others and you can get up even after getting knocked down.
Thankfulness in Brokenness
Be thankful for what you have went through. Allow your path to show you things and to show you that you need to let go of the past and move on to a better life. Allow yourself to heal and allow yourself to feel like something amazing.
Even if you have experienced rejection or have been heartbroken, you are not ugly. Your brokenness can help you to feel better. If you have ever felt that everyone was better than you or that you were unworthy, you aren’t alone.
Loving others through their brokenness can help you to find wisdom and beauty in your own problems. This can help you to be healed and help you to let go of hurts in your life. Let go of your brokenness and allow a breakthrough of healing to come to you.
