Cutting Harmful Psychic Bonds

Cutting Harmful Psychic Bonds

Many people feel attached to a person that isn’t good for them. Maybe you still love somebody who has broken off a romantic relationship with you. You still feel emotionally or psychically linked to them. Such attachment can be a significant drain on your time, your emotional well-being, and your energy. This kind of connection can make you feel unproductive and even downright crazy.

Don’t fret; you’re not crazy. Everything and everybody in the universe is composed of energy. Energy is capable of transcending space and time. So it’s possible to remain connected to somebody on a psychic level without physical contact or communication. But just because it’s possible doesn’t mean that it’s good. So, how can you insulate yourself and your psychic resources against this type of burden?

Sever Binding Ties

I recommend that you cut the ties that are binding you to the other person. This may sound drastic and harsh to you. But the lovely truth of the matter is that you can always reattach the connections and reestablish the relationship at a later time. In the meantime, cutting the ties will help you conserve your precious mental energy, bolster your self-esteem, and strengthen you.

There are several ways to cut the ties. The method that works best for me is to conduct a visualization ritual. To begin, I light a white candle to help balance my aura, to promote healing and wholeness, and to repel undesired negative energies. Then, I settle myself in a comfortable position and perform the visualization.

The Three Fates

In the visualization, I picture myself staggering on a path that’s slowly climbing up and around a large grassy hill. Atop the hill is the temple of the Three Fates, the three goddesses of ancient Roman mythology who determine one’s destiny. The first goddess is Nona, a maiden who spins the thread to mark the beginning of one’s life. The second goddess is Decuma, a mother who dispenses the thread to become the fabric of one’s actions. The third goddess is Morta, an elderly crone who cuts the thread at the end of one’s life.

In my exercise, I can see the three sisters seated in front of the temple, working intently on the fabric of my life. As I stand before them, I can clearly see the cords that bind me to the person I wish to cut ties to. I borrow Morta’s golden scissors and decisively cut each cord that connects me to the person. I place the cords in a basket and set it before the Three Fates with my most sincere gratitude. Then I turn around and freely dance back down the path, unencumbered by the ties that until so recently had held me bound.

This visualization usually needs to be repeated multiple times, because as soon as the other person feels a sense of loss at the disconnect, they’ll rush to refasten themselves to you. In some cases, it may be necessary to perform the exercise daily for several weeks. But I guarantee it will always be worth it in the end. You’ll feel so free and cleansed when the connections are severed permanently.
